Crowd-Funded Publishing Effort to Launch June 3

On May 25, I launched a website and, ever so briefly, announced that my second nonfiction book, “The CLAPPER MEMO,” is set to be released this fall. Within 24 hours of that announcement, I released a book trailer (below) to give folks an idea about what to expect in the book. As the next step in this book’s launch process, I’m inviting everyone — regardless of whether or not you’ve been following my writing career — including my first nonfiction book, “Three Days In August: A U.S. Army Special Forces Soldier’s Fight For Military Justice” — to become actively involved in the soon-to-launch effort to publish “The CLAPPER MEMO.”

After three years of painstaking research, in-depth interviews and relentless investigation, I’m launching an all-or-nothing campaign at Kickstarter.com June 3. The goal is to raise $10,000 in 30 days to help fund publication of this book many people inside and outside government do not want to see published.

While the list of “rewards” for supporting this project will be outlined on the project page after it launches June 3, I can give you a hint of what to expect at each end of the support range.

For instance, each pledge of $25 will net a signed and shipped copy of the book. At the other end of the scale, each pledge of $1,000 will net 10 signed copies of the book plus a signed, dated and framed print of the book’s cover and a listing inside the book as a funder(s) who helped make publication possible. NOTE: If, after 30 days, the goal is met, then the pledges will be processed and contributors will be notified. If the goal isn’t met, then no pledges will be collected.

Please know that I’ll publish an update as soon as the project goes “live” at Kickstarter.com, so be sure to subscribe to my RSS feed so you don’t miss out on the news.

Thanks in advance for spreading the word about this project!
